Adult Basic Education Center/GED

Located in Orscheln Hall, one block north of the main campus at 8th and Beech in Coffeyville, the Adult Education Center administers several programs aimed at providing individuals with workforce skills, reading skills, and math skills. GED preparation classes are offered free of charge.  GED testing is offered in Parsons, Kansas and the GED Center will assist with transportation needs.

The ABE Center is a vital link between CCC, the community, and students in need of service.

GED Preparation Class Schedule

GED preparation classes will begin on the following dates:

• April 7, 2008
• May 19, 2008
• June 23, 2008
• August 18, 2008
• September 29, 2008
• November 10, 2008

Class times are available from 9 a.m. until noon, 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., or 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Fast Track Option (NEW): Prepare for the GED test on Saturdays.  Call 252-7005 for additional information.  Upcoming start dates include June 28, 2008; August 23, 2008; October 4, 2008; and November 15, 2008.

Online Option (NEW): Prepare for the GED test through the Internet.  Call 252-7005 for additional information.
