Livestock Judging at Walter Johnson Park - 8 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m. at the livestock pavilion.
- The park is located on the east edge of Coffeyville on U.S.
Highways 166 & 169. Contestants should report directly to the
livestock pavilion in the park.
- 8 classes, 1 class performance data.
- Senior - 11th-12th (3 sets reasons)
- Intermediate - 7th - 10th (2 sets reasons)
- Junior - 6th and under (1 set questions, 1 set reasons)
Agribusiness Management - 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m. Nellis Hall
- The farm management contest will be offered at two different
times, 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Entire team must report to room at
the start of one of the start times. The contest will include
multiple choice and problem solving questions. Held in
Weinberg Hall, Room 131.
Public Speaking and Creed Contest - 9 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- Held in Weinberg Hall

Floriculture Contest - 8 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- The contest will follow the national guidelines which include:
practicum, written test, plant I.D., and placing classes.
Nursery/Landscape - 10 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- Contest will include written test, plant I.D., and three
practicums.
Dairy Foods - 9 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- The dairy products contest will begin at 9 a.m. The
contest will include milk flavor, CMT sediment, real and artificial
cheese, problem solving, milker unit evaluation, and test over the
dairy industry.
- Will be held in Arts and Science Labs, 226 and 228.
Entomology - 10:30 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- The contestants will meet in Nellis Hall at 10:30 a.m. The
contest will consist of 40 questions and identification of 50 insect
specimens.
Meats - 8 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- Contest will include 30-40 I.D., 5-7 placing classes, and 3
classes of questions.
Poultry - 8 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m., Nellis Hall
- Rules and contest information coming soon.
The following contests will take place at the Coffeyville Community
College Technical Campus, 600 Roosevelt Street.
Note: CCC has
decided to issue $500 per semester technical scholarships to the top 3
students in each area below.
Automotive Technology - 8:45 a.m.
- Registration - 7:45 a.m., Nellis Hall
- Contest will include Parts I.D., Tool I.D., Measuring Tools
I.D., and DVOM.
Business and Computer - 8:45 a.m.
- Registration - 7:45 a.m., Nellis Hall

Fundamental word processing and document processing will not be
offered.

instructions. The mail due date is past but resumes and cover
letters will still be accepted by email

deduction on letter and resume only. Any resumes and cover letters
received April 4, 2008 will receive a 20% deduction on letter and
resume only.

- Includes PC Repair Theory Challenge, PC Repair Parts I.D., and
Network Theory Challenge.
Electrical - 8:45 a.m.
- Registration - 7:45 a.m.
- Contest will include two parts, practical hands on application
and written test for general electrical installations.
Welding - 8:45 a.m.
- Registration - 7:30 a.m.
- Contest will take place at 3002 West Eighth, starting at 8:45
- Additional information coming soon.
