Symphony of Winds

High school students from across southeast Kansas annually participate in the Dale Casteel Memorial Symphony of Winds.  This all-day clinic has a memorable history spanning more than a quarter of a century and brings together more than 200 selected musicians who have an opportunity to play music they might not be able to experience in their own high school bands.  In addition, a guest clinician works with the high school musicians during the all-day clinic and conducts the mass band in an evening concert.  Previous guest clinicians/conductors include Jim Swearingen, Quincy H. Hilliard, David Shaffer, and Mike Story.
