Fire Science ProgramCCC offering five fire science courses this spring Coffeyville Community College has teamed up with Barton County Community College to offer a Fire Science associate degree program. Students will take general education courses and become certified EMTs through this program. Students will also venture into classes such as arson investigation, hazmat operations, fire science and more. All courses are transferable to a four-year university. Why FirefightingFirefighters are some of the world's greatest heroes. They protect the lives and property of their friends and neighbors. They perform daring rescues and extinguish many different types of fires. Imagine the pride you will feel after being called on to save the life or property of someone in your community. Today's firefighter is equipped with the skills to handle a variety of different emergencies. On any given day, a firefighter may be called to mitigate any of the following type of emergencies.
