Emergency Medical Technology Program

Mobile Intensive Care Technician

Dear Potential Paramedic Student:

It is my privilege to welcome you to the Emergency Medical Training Program website at Coffeyville Community College.  You have chosen a career goal that is exciting and demanding.  It is the intent of the program to offer you a quality education in a professional and understanding environment.

The paramedic course will demand your dedication to setting high standards of personal performance.  You will be required to excel as a team player and not be content with mediocrity.  You will be given all the information, practical application time and patient contacts needed to attain paramedic patient care capabilities.  As a graduate of the CCC EMT-P, you will be able to effectively diagnose field situations, display a practical approach to solving problems and possess the knowledge and professional ethics to care for patients with care, solace and dignity.

You will find that all CCC faculty, staff and administrative personnel are interested in you and your education and will assist you in attaining your educational goals in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.

The EMT-P Medical Director, faculty and staff all have your interest at heart at all times.  Our main objective is to educate quality patient care providers in the pre-hospital and emergency arenas.  With that goal in mind, you will find our personnel demanding but understanding, critical but fair, and consistent, dependable and accurate in carrying out their responsibilities to you and your educational endeavors to a successful conclusion.

Again, welcome and if I may be of any assistance to you during your education, please do not hesitate to contact me.  My door is always open.

Sincerely,

Greta Rexwinkle
