Red Ravens Judging Team takes second at Fort SmithThe Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Red Raven Livestock Judging team has talked reasons at three contests this fall with its most impressive finish at the latest contest at the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair in Fort Smith, Ark. Of the 25 students who competed in Arkansas, 13 finished in the top 10 in at least one species. CCC earned the honor of second overall sophomore and second overall highest freshman teams. Jeremy Sisco, a CCC sophomore from Chadwick, Mo. took second overall individual at the contest. Paige Futrell, a sophomore from Midland, Texas, took third overall individual honors. Lacey Meder, a freshman from Yukon, Okla. took third overall in the freshman division. Seth Stroman, a sophomore from Williamsburg, Kan. took first overall individual in cattle. Gus Plumb, a sophomore from Sarcoxie, Mo., took first high individual in oral reasons as well as hogs. Matthew Loveless, a freshman from Noble, Okla. took first high individual in cattle. The Red Raven Judgers take their critical thinking skills to Tulsa State Fair followed by the Texas State Fair.
