Student Success Center

 

The Student Success Center (SSC) which is located in Weinberg Hall room 131, provides tutoring services to all students enrolled at Coffeyville Community College. The primary goal of the center is to help students be successful in college by providing individualized instruction to strengthen academic skills. The center is staffed with three full time professionals, as well as student tutors who have excellent math and English skills and specialize in other subject areas.  In addition to tutoring, the center offers study skill workshops designed to help students improve their study habits as well as test review sessions, and computer access to help students succeed.

 

Online tutoring is also available by e-mailing questions to studentsuccess@coffeyville.edu.  Questions submitted 8:00 a.m. Monday through 4:00 p.m. Friday will receive a response within 24 hours.  Questions submitted after 4:00 p.m.  Friday and before 8:00 am Monday or on school holidays will be answered within 24 hours of the center re-opening.  

 

The Student Success Center is equipped with many supplemental study aids including computers, educational software, audio cassettes, and video tapes. In addition to the individualized instruction, students can meet with other students for group study sessions which can be set up by making arrangements in advance.  The Student Success Center is also able to help students register to vote and/or obtain absentee ballots.  

 

Through the Student Success Center, the College has responded to students with special needs by formulating a program which includes but is not limited to:

Student Success Center hours are:

Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
