![]() Native American Leadership ProgramWelcome to Raven CountryCoffeyville Community College, located in southeast Kansas, has three campus sites: the main campus and a technical campus in Coffeyville and a technical campus in Columbus, Kansas, about an hour drive from Coffeyville. The College's main campus is situated on land documented as Indian Territory. Coffeyville is probably best known because of the infamous Dalton Gang's attempt of robbing two banks in 1892, and because of the success of Red Raven athletic and academic programs have enjoyed over the years. AcademicsCoffeyville Community College provides many educational opportunities for students. CCC offers Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees, both designed to transfer to a baccalaureate degree-granting institution as well as Certificate of Achievements for students completing technology training programs such as Auto Collision Repair, Emergency Medical Technology, Welding, and Computer Networking. ActivitiesCCC offers numerous activities, many of which provide scholarship opportunities. [Activities] 2008 Coffeyville Gathering and Indian Art Market (April 18-19, 2008) Native American Leadership AssociationA Native American Leadership Association group has been established as an additional avenue to provide students with fellowship and support and will also serve as an extra-curricular organization. The association will offer a wide-variety of activities to educate students cross-culturally and to educate non-Native Americans about the interesting customs and the many concerns Native Americans experience. Members of the Native American Leadership Association will not only provide leadership to coordinate and host cultural events and activities for the college, they will also help to provide cultural opportunities for members of the Coffeyville community. Students enrolled in the Native American Leadership Program are encouraged to participate in the many extra-curricular activities available to them while attending Coffeyville Community College. ScholarshipsNative American Leadership Program scholarships are available for official members of federally recognized tribes. This scholarship will provide tuition and loan of books on the main campus and $500 toward technical program expenses for qualified students. Students who qualify for a Presidential Scholarship will also receive a $500 per semester stipend to assist with dorm expenses.
