Enrollment Process

Prior to Enrollment (Full-Time Students)

  1. Complete Application for Admission and Scholarships.
  2. Complete FAFSA form.
  3. Send ACT scores to CCC or plan to take the COMPASS test.
  4. Send official and completed High School Transcript, with graduation date, to the Registrar’s Office. Only required if graduated within the past 5 years.
  5. If enrolling for the first time during the summer session, a letter from a High School Official may take the place of the transcript.
  6. Pre-enrollment for the Fall semester will be allowed prior to receipt of the final High School Transcript. Transcripts must be received prior to July 5th to maintain enrollment in the Fall semester.

Prior to Enrollment (Part-Time Students)

Students will follow the same procedures as Full-Time Students except that a placement test is not required until the students wishes to enroll in math or English courses.

Enrollment Procedures

  1. Schedule a meeting with assigned advisor, or visit the Admissions and Advising Office to meet with an advisor.
  2. Select classes which will follow a degree plan, the Transfer Articulation Agreement, or career choices.
  3. Complete an Enrollment Form and obtain advisor signature.
  4. Submit the completed Enrollment Form to the Registrar’s Office for input into the database.
  5. If receiving financial aid assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office, 620-252-7357, to verify all necessary paperwork has been submitted. Financial assistance includes scholarships, Pell Grants, student loans, and work study.
  6. Finalize enrollment before the first day of classes by paying tuition and fees or by making payment arrangements through the online payment service from the CCC website.
  7. Class spaces are reserved by students finalizing enrollment. ENROLLMENT MUST BE FINALIZED BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES OR A STUDENT WILL BE DROPPED FROM ALL COURSES.
  8. The Business Office will acknowledge payment and/or payment arrangements have been made on the PINK copy of the enrollment form.
  9. New students should take the pink copy of the finalized enrollment form to the Media Center, located in Weinberg Hall, for securing a Student I.D.
  10. The PINK copy of the finalized enrollment form will allow students to purchase textbooks. Cash purchases may also be made after enrollment finalization.
