35 CCC Student-Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Honors, 13 Teams Recognized

A total of 35 Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens were honored for their academic performance by the NJCAA for the 2014-2015 academic year. Coffeyville had the most number of accolades of any community college in the nation including four athletes who received the Pinnacle Award, the highest academic honor bestowed by the NJCAA.

Placement on the President’s Honor Roll requires a minimum of 14 hours of graded academic work with a grade point average of 3.75 or higher and no grade below a B. The Vice President’s Honor Roll requires a minimum of 12 hours of graded academic work with a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and no grade below a B.

Two former Coffeyville Red Ravens heard their names called during the NFL Draft on Saturday. Outside linebacker Martrell Spaight was drafted in the fifth round, 141st overall, by the Washington Redskins. A.J. Derby, who was the Ravens quarterback in 2012, was drafted as a tight end by the New England Patriots. Derby was selected in the sixth round, 202nd overall pick in this year's draft.

Coffeyville Community College Columbus Technical Campus is pleased to announce that they have completed another spec house in the town of Columbus. This project was completed by the Construction Technology program with over 45 students receiving “hands on” training during this build.

Devin Cosper Signs With Razorbacks

After one NJCAA All-American season for the Coffeyville Red Ravens, Devin Cosper has decided to spend the next three years playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Cosper signed with Arkansas during a signing ceremony held on Apr. 27 in the Coffeyville Community College Student Union.
