The Coffeyville Red Ravens finished the 2012 baseball season with a school record 33 wins. They needed two more on Monday afternoon at the Region VI championship games to continue their season at the NJCAA World Series. However, the Neosho County Panthers defeated Coffeyville 1-0 to win this year's Region VI title.

The Coffeyville Red Ravens crushed the Cowley Tigers 13-5 on Sunday evening at the Region VI Tournament in Wichita and they will advance to the Region VI Championship games on Monday. The game ended after seven innings due to the run rule.

Coffeyville native Dustin Hurlbutt threw a complete game against Fort Scott on Saturday, leading the Ravens to a 7-2 win in the second game of a doubleheader. Hurlbutt walked two and struck out a career high 12 batters. Hurlbutt allowed seven hits and two runs as he gained his second win of the season.

In the first game of the Jayhawk Conference doubleheader, the Ravens won a pitcher's duel 3-1. In the nightcap, Fort Scott scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to walk off with a wild 10-9 win over the Ravens.
