Ravens shut out Conquistadors, 27-0The Coffeyville Red Ravens completed the regular season in style on October 27, shutting out the Dodge City Conquistadors 27-0. The Ravens end the regular season with a 5-4 overall record and will play Butler in El Dorado on November 4 in a Region 6 playoff game. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m. The Ravens used a balanced running attack to amass 288 total yards of rushing on 49 carries. In addition to two touchdowns, Nate Guillory rushed for 85 yards on 15 carries. Guillory has now rushed for 1,093 yards on the season and for 2,065 in his two seasons at Coffeyville. A.J. Evans rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries and Dustin Lindsey had 47 yards rushing on 10 carries. Tim Keeton added a 26 yard run, and quarterback Nick Hardesty rushed for an 18 yard touchdown run and ended the night with 38 yards rushing on seven carries. Hardesty also completed 6-of-16 passes for 69 yards. Bryant Williams and Landon Murrell had two receptions each. Scott Donaldson had one catch for 22 yards, Jordan Daniels had one reception for 15 yards, and Josh Hill added one catch. Lucas Ortiz and Eric Hronek each kicked a field goal for the Ravens. Ortiz connected on a 31 yard kick to open the scoring in the first quarter, and Hronek finished the night's scoring with a 29 yard kick. The Ravens racked up 358 yards of total offense on the night. The Ravens defense held Dodge City to 124 yards of total offense, 132 through the air and negative eight yards on the ground. Dominique Roulack led the defense in the team's shutout effort. Roulack recorded six solo tackles, two assisted tackles, one QB sack for 13 yards, one QB hurry, one batted pass, and one pass break up. Melvin Williams had three solo tackles, one assisted tackle, one QB sack for 13 yards, one pass break up and a blocked kick. Ade' Manga had two solo tackles, two assisted tackles, one tackle for loss, and two QB sacks. Dwight Tenpenny recorded two assisted tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one QB hurry, one batted pass and had a fumble recovery. Coffeyville native Ray Davis recorded a solo tackle, two assisted tackles, two pass break ups and an interception. Jamail Berry also had an interception. In addition to Tenpenny's fumble recovery, Larry Ford, Derek Wrestler, and Kevin Funches each were credited with a fumble recovery. |
