Raven golfers fourth at conference tourney in Hesston

The Raven golf team came out firing on all cylinders this past Monday, September 24, as they finished in fourth place in the second KJCCC designated tournament played at the Hesston Golf Park in Hesston, Kansas.

By placing fourth, the Ravens picked up two notches in the overall season conference standings, moving from seventh to fifth overall.

“I was very proud of my team this weekend, said assistant coach Jamie Fisher.  "We came into this tournament with a goal to get some points back in the conference, and then preformed up to our abilities by playing good golf under tough windy conditions,” said assistant coach Jamie Fisher.

The team shot an opening round 309 and came back to shoot a 308 on the final round of the tournament for a team total of 617.

Kyler Brown fired an opening round 72 and shot a second round score of 73 to finish fourth overall individually with a 36-hole total of 145.

Eddie Hall placed eighth in the tournament by shooting rounds of 77 and 71.  The 71 was the low individual round for the Ravens.

The team will be in action again October 5-6 at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, Kansas for the third KJCCC designated conference tournament.
