Ravens place third at NEO Invitational

The Red Raven golf team traveled to Miami, Oklahoma on Monday, September 17 to compete in the NEO Invitational Tournament. The tournament was a 36-hole event at Peoria Ridge Golf Course.

The Ravens put together a solid performance to claim the third place.  Missouri State-West Plains won the tournament with NEO finishing second.  The Ravens were led by Eddie Hall, a freshman from Owasso, Oklahoma.  Hall shot rounds of 74-76 for a 36-hole total of 150. Hall finished tied for second in the tournament and his 74 was the second lowest round of the tournament.

Coffeyville native Kyler Brown also had a nice tournament, shooting rounds of 76 and 75 for a 151 total.

“I am proud of the team for placing third,” said Head Coach Bill Williamson. “We really hung in there and fought NEO down to the wire.”

“I am especially proud of Eddie who had a solid performance,” added Williamson.

The Ravens will be back in KJCCC conference action next Monday as they travel to Hesston, Kansas to play in a tournament at the Hesston Golf Park.
