Raven men’s golf team places fourth at Terradyne tournament
The Coffeyville Community College men’s golf team placed fourth at the second Jayhawk Conference Designated Tournament played at the Terradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas, on September 14.
Johnson County won the tournament, followed by Hutchinson, Dodge City and Coffeyville. Kansas City placed fifth, followed by Allen County, Colby, Independence and Barton County.
Sophomores Dylan Porter and Jake Cox led the Ravens with 36-hole totals of 159. Porter shot rounds of 83 and 76, and Cox fired rounds of 82 and 77. Both players tied for thirteenth individually. Sophomore Kyle Menie placed fifteenth individually with rounds of 84 and 77 for a 36-hole total of 161.
The Raven men’s golf team will play in the William Jewell Invitational in Liberty, Mo. on Monday. The Ravens will wrap up the fall portion of the 2009-2010 schedule with a Jayhawk Conference Designated Tournament at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kansas, on September 28.
