Ravens hammer Newman JV, Pratt declaws Neosho County
in Friday night action of Bricktown Tournament

The Coffeyville Red Ravens used a balanced scoring attack with five players in double-figures to overwhelm the Newman Univ. JV Jets 96-41 Friday night in the Bricktown Tournament at Nellis Hall in Coffeyville.  In the early game, Pratt declawed the Neosho County Panthers 86-53.

For the Ravens, Tarod Sanders scored 15 points and Brandon Kennedy and Barry Eberhardt added 14 points each.  The Ravens, 3-0, shot 54% from the field for the game and held Newman to just 27% shooting from the floor.  Wes Strassle scored 11 points to lead the Jets.

In the early game, Pratt raced out to a 38-19 halftime lead and were never threatened by the Panthers.  Jairocey Simpson and Robert Moores scored 16 points each for Pratt and Jamais Quary was the lone Panther in double-figures with 14 points.

On Saturday night, the Newman JV will face Neosho County at 5 p.m. followed by Pratt and Coffeyville at 7 p.m.
