Ravens pick up important win at Allen County

It might have been just the second game of the conference season, but the Ravens picked up a big win on Jan. 6 at Allen County in Iola.  The Ravens defeated Allen County 80-78 and improved to 2-0 in the KJCCC in the process.  Allen County is expected to be one of the top teams in KJCCC East this season and picking up a win on the road against the Red Devils is a huge step for the Ravens to claim their seventh straight KJCCC East Conference Championship.

Daniel Payne scored 16 points to lead a balanced Red Raven scoring attack.  J.J. Seymore and Barry Eberhardt added 14 points each and Brandon Kennedy returned from a foot injury to add 10 points.

The Ravens improve to 12-2 overall with the win.  The Ravens return to action on January 10 when they welcome Labette into Nellis Hall.  Labette is much-improved over last season and will enter with a 2-0 KJCCC record and 8-5 overall.
