Ravens win double-overtime battle with Fort ScottThe Red Raven men's basketball team is making it a habit in playing double-overtime games. On Feb. 21, the Ravens defeated the Fort Scott Greyhounds on the road, 113-102, in a double-overtime thriller. The win couple with a loss by Allen County, give the Ravens at least a share of the KJCCC East Conference Championship. The Ravens can win their seventh straight conference championship outright on Saturday night with either a win at Cowley or an Independence loss to Highland. The Ravens will enter play Saturday with a 13-2 record in conference play and 23-4 overall. Independence is 10-5 in conference play and both teams have three games remaining on the schedule. The Saturday night game at Cowley will tip off at approximately 7 p.m. Against Fort Scott, Brandon Kennedy scored 29 points and Aaron Jackson added 20 to pace the Ravens offense. Bateko Francisco had 30 points to lead the Greyhounds and Terrell Turner added 21 points. The teams were tied 80-80 at the end of regulation, and 91-91 after the first overtime.
