Ravens avenge earlier loss to Blue Devils, 83-73

On Wednesday night, the Red Ravens avenged a loss in January to the Kansas City Blue Devils.  The Ravens defeated Kansas City 83-73 in front of over 1,000 fans in Nellis Hall.  Barry Eberhardt scored 22 points and hauled in nine rebounds to pace the Ravens.  J.J. Seymore had 14 points and four assists for Coffeyville and Tyler Thompson added 12 points including a 3-of-4 effort from the land of three.  Daniel Payne also hit double-figures with 10 points and he contributed four assists on the night.

David Nurse led Kansas City with 22 points.  The Ravens shot 57% from the field on the night and turned the ball over eight times.  Kansas City shot 46% from the field and turned the ball over only 12 times in a fundamentally-sound game for both teams.

The Ravens improved to 11-2 in the KJCCC East and to 21-4 overall on the season.  The Ravens have a three-game lead in the KJCCC East over five teams who are 8-5 in KJCCC East play - Fort Scott, Allen County, Kansas City, Cowley and Independence.  The Ravens are back in action on Saturday night when they host Neosho County at 7:30 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
