  • 35 CCC Student-Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Honors, 13 Teams Recognized

    A total of 35 Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens were honored for their academic performance by the NJCAA for the 2014-2015 academic year. Coffeyville had the most number of accolades of any community college in the nation including four athletes who received the Pinnacle Award, the highest academic honor bestowed by the NJCAA.

    Four Coffeyville Red Ravens were named honorable mention All-Jayhawk Conference following the 2015 season. Ravens selected were second baseman Ashley Rankin, third baseman Kourtney Herrera, outfielder Mikayla Zielinski and pitcher Shyanne Downing.

  • Season Ends for Ravens at District Tournament

    The Coffeyville Red Ravens ended their season on Sunday at the Region VI D-II, District E Softball Tournament. After winning their first game 8-5 over Highland in the double-elimination tournament, the Ravens dropped a 5-2 decision to Johnson County and were nipped by Highland 3-2 in an elimination game.

    The Coffeyville Red Ravens scored seven runs in the top of sixth inning to turn a 3-1 deficit into an 8-3 lead in their district tournament opening game against the Highland Scotties on Saturday in Topeka.

    The Coffeyville Red Ravens scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally from a one run deficit to beat the Cloud County Thunderbirds 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in the deciding game of their opening round region playoff series.
