Several Ravens compete at Cowley meet

Several Ravens took advantage of a warm day on Feb. 29 to compete at a meet hosted by Cowley College in Arkansas City.  Although the meet was held outdoors, it counts toward the indoor season.

Several Raven athletes set personal best times at the meet.  Sophomore Chris Gravley set a new personal record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:02.31. 

Sophomore Dustin Schull and freshman Rob Gault also set personal records in the 800 meter run.  Schull recorded a time of 2:09.78 and Gault finished the race in 2:10.23.

Freshman Tell Wyrick established a new personal record in the shot put with a heave of 13.45 meters, or 44'1.5".  Freshman Jarve Dean set two new personal records at the meet.  Dean threw the shot put 13.35 meters (43'9.75") and recorded a distance of 12.61 meters (41'4.5") in the weight throw.

Sophomore Trentell Bottley set a new personal record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.01 seconds.  The men's 4 x 400 relay team of Ramon Harris, Geoffrey Sygay, Gravley, and DJ Bland set a new season record with a time of 3:27.43.
