Ravens place third at Cowley cross country meet

This past Friday, October 12, the cross country team competed in an invitational hosted by Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas.

“The guys did a great job of going out and really competing this week,” said Head Coach Craig Perry.

Rob Gault was the first runner in for the Ravens with a personal best 5k time of 17:10.  Running with Gault nearly the whole race was Seth Freeman who finished the course in 17:11.

John Korir was next with a time 17:19, followed by Isaiah Sack and Isiah Vigil with times of 17:55 and 17:56 respectively.

There were several runners who did an outstanding job as well. Dustin Schull finished sixth on the team and ran a personal best time of 18:06. 

Also running on the slow, hilly course was Nate Rowe and David Tindall with times of 18:11 and 18:22.

“I was impressed by the way the guys worked together to attack this course” said Perry.

Overall the team finished third in the meet behind Cowley College and Garden City Community College.

This Friday the Ravens travel to El Dorado, Kansas, to run in the Ollie Isom Invitational at Butler County Community College.
