Eight Ravens and men's relay team to represent CCC at national indoor meet

Eight Red Raven track athletes and the men's 4 x 800 relay team have qualified for the indoor national meet to be held on March 7-8 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.

For the women, freshmen Tarayla Merriweather, Gabby Mask, Brandy Simpson, and Demica Robinson will compete at the national meet. 

Merriweather qualified in both the triple jump and the long jump.  Mask qualified in the long jump and the 60 meter dash.  Simpson will compete in the pentathlon and Robinson will run in the 200 meter dash.

For the men, freshman Rashad Cannon and sophomores Ramon Harris, Dustin Schull and DJ Bland will compete at nationals.  Cannon qualified for three events: long jump, 60 meter dash, and triple jump.  Harris will run in the 200 meter dash, and Schull and Bland will each compete in the pentathlon.

The men's 4 x 800 meter relay team comprised freshmen Seth Freeman and Geoffrey Sygay, and sophomores Chris Gravley and Isaiah Sack will run at the national meet.  The relay team will enter the national meet with a qualifying mark of 8:18.01.
