#18 Ravens split at home triangularThe #18 ranked Coffeyville Red Ravens split a pair of matches at a home triangular on September 24. In the opening match, the Ravens handled Northern Oklahoma-Enid in three games. The Ravens won 30-20, 30-28 and 30-22. In the nightcap, Coffeyville played #11 Longview Community College of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Coffeyville got the early advantage, winning the first game 30-18. Longview came back to take the second game 30-24, but the Ravens retook the lead by winning the third game, 35-33. Longview managed to force a fifth and deciding game by holding off the Ravens in game four, 30-24. In the fifth game, Longview jumped out to a quick lead and coasted to a 15-10 win to take the match. Tagata Fo'a led the Ravens with a season high 61 assists against Longview. Jessica Seichepine added 26 kills and only four errors. She also had 22 digs. Morgan Wyatt had a double-double with 21 kills and 16 digs, and Katy Bowen had a nice night at the net with five blocks, eight kills and 15 digs. Victoria Thomas recorded 13 kills and 19 digs and libero Jessica Giesen added 20 digs. In the other game of the triangular, Longview destroyed Northern Oklahoma-Enid 30-11, 30-15, and 30-16. The Ravens are now 17-7 overall on the season. The Ravens are back in action on Wednesday, September 26, against Allen County. First serve is at 6:30 p.m. in Nellis Hall. |
