| Becky Gibson scored 19 points and had eight
assists to help lead the Lady Ravens to an 83-71 victory over Cloud County
on Wednesday evening in first round Region 6 Tournament action at Nellis
Hall. With the win, the Lady Ravens advance to second round action.
The Lady Ravens will play Dodge City on March 14 at 5 p.m. at the Salina
Bi-Centennial Center. Against Cloud County, Cherene Haynes came off the bench to score 17 points for one of her biggest games of the year. Also hitting double-figures were Marquita Thompson with 12 points, Whitnee Miller with 11 points and Andrea Dill added 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Lady Ravens shot 53% from the field and held Cloud County to 38% shooting. The Lady Ravens improved to 22-9 on the season. |
