| Becky Gibson scored 15 points including a 6-of-9
effort from the field and Whitnee Miller added 13 points to pace the Lady
Ravens to a 66-49 victory over Allen County on Saturday night. The
Lady Ravens shot 44% from the field for the game and held Allen County to
32% shooting and also forced 24 Lady Red Devils turnovers.
Also scoring for the Lady Ravens were Amy Hammond with nine points including 7-of-10 from the free throw line, Marquita Thompson scored seven, Holly Vandiver had six, India Reeves and Cherene Haynes scored four each, Andrea Dill had three, Rudy Crittendon and Kryssy Jennings scored two each and Taylor Gullick swished a free throw. For Allen County, former Red Raven LaToya Sexton scored a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds. Rachel Collins also hit double-figures with 10 points. The Red Ravens improve to 2-0 in conference play and to 10-4 overall. The Lady Ravens host Independence on Wednesday. Tip off is at 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall. |
