| Cowley County thumped the Lady Ravens 58-38
Wednesday night in Arkansas City. The Ravens drop to 5-2 in
conference play and to 13-6 overall. The Lady Ravens host Neosho
County on Saturday night at 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall. The Ravens trailed 33-20 at halftime against Cowley, shooting 40% from the field in the first half. Things did not improve for Coffeyville in the second half as the team struggled with 27% shooting from the field. For the game, the Lady Ravens shot 33% from the field and made 9-of-15 free throw attempts. Cowley shot 46% from the field for the game and held a commanding 40-to-24 rebounding advantage over the Lady Ravens. Tamala Turner scored 19 for Cowley to lead all scores. Becky Gibson was the lone Lady Raven in double-figures, scoring 11 points. Marquita Thompson added nine and India Reeves came off the bench to score eight. |
