| Highland hung touch for a half, but the Lady
Ravens arose from a first half slumber to blitz the Lady Scotties 87-44
Wednesday night in Nellis Hall. Coffeyville led 29-24 at the half, but the Lady Ravens came out smoking in the second half, shooting 64% from the field in the half. The Lady Ravens outscored Highland 58-20 in the second half to walk away with a 43 point win. Marquita Thompson scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the Lady Ravens. Holly Vandiver scored 13 points in a starting role and Andrea Dill came off the bench for 10. Sami Booth scored 16 for Highland and Anna Helmer added 10 for the Lady Scotties. Overall, the Lady Ravens shot 47% from the field and out-rebounded Highland by a 44 to 38 margin. The Lady Ravens forced 27 Highland turnovers and held Highland to 37% shooting from the field. With the win, the Lady Ravens are now 7-2 in conference play and 15-6 overall. The Lady Ravens host Johnson County on Saturday night at 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall. |
