| The Lady Pirates Nikina Hall dropped in a basket
with 22.3 seconds remaining to provide the difference in Independence's
59-57 victory over the Lady Ravens Saturday night in Independence.
The loss drops the Lady Ravens to 9-3 in conference and to 17-7 overall.
Andrea Dill was the lone Lady Raven in double-figures with 21 points. Cherene Haynes had seven points and eight rebounds and Marquita Thompson added seven points. Coffeyville out-rebounded Independence 44 to 31, but the Lady Ravens committed 24 turnovers to just 11 for the Lady Pirates. The Lady Ravens face Labette on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall. Labette is currently second in the KJCCC eastern division with an 11-2 conference record. |
