Coffeyville 74, Johnson County 62

The Lady Ravens improved to 8-2 in conference play and to 16-6 overall with Saturday night's 74-62 win over Johnson County inside Nellis Hall.

Coffeyville led 32-31 at the half, but pulled away in the second half to win for the second over Johnson County this season.  Becky Gibson led the Lady Ravens offense with 18 points, including a 9-of-9 effort from the free throw line.  Marquita Thompson had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Andrea Dill added 12 points. 

The Lady Ravens shot just 35% from the field, but held Johnson County to 33% shooting.  The Lady Ravens held a commanding 54-39 rebounding advantage and were 27-of-37 from the free throw line compared to 13-of-22 for Johnson County. 

The Lady Ravens hit the road next week for two games.  On Feb. 9, the Lady Ravens travel to Iola to face Allen County for a 6 p.m. game.  On Feb. 12, the Lady Ravens travel to Independence for a 6 p.m. game against the intra-county rival Pirates.
