Labette 70, Coffeyville 68 |
| Labette's Wintonia Hart's jumper with 1.4 seconds
remaining in regulation lifted the Labette Cardinals to a 70-68 win over
Coffeyville on Saturday night in Parsons, Kansas. The Red Ravens
trailed by as many 14 midway through the second half before rallying to
take the lead late in regulation. The teams exchanged leads several
times in the last three minutes of the game and were tied 68-68 with just
under a minute remaining, setting up Hart's heroics. Breanna Link led Labette with 20 points and eight rebounds and Hart added 16 points and eight rebounds. Joiceline Thesing hit double-figures with 10 points. For the Lady Ravens, Andrea Dill scored 17 points and Whitnee Miller added 15. The Lady Ravens dropped to 11-5 overall and to 3-1 in conference play with the loss. The Lady Ravens are back home Wednesday for a 6 p.m. game against Kansas City. The Lady Ravens hit the road on Jan. 22 for a 6 p.m. contest in Fort Scott. |
