Coffeyville 52, Neosho County 43 |
| It doesn't have to be pretty, as long as the game
goes into the win column. For the Lady Ravens against Neosho County
on Saturday night in Nellis Hall, the game was everything, but pretty. The Lady Ravens shot just 33% from the field against Neosho County, but so did the Lady Panthers. The Lady Ravens committed 18 turnovers, but the Lady Panthers committed a ghastly 34. When the dust settled though, the Lady Ravens improved to 6-2 in conference play, 14-6 overall, with a 52-43 win over Neosho County. Becky Gibson led the Lady Ravens with 14 points and Marquita Thompson scored 10 to go along with a team-high six rebounds. Reagan Robins was the lone Lady Panther in double-figures with a game-high 19 points. The Lady Ravens will host Highland on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Highland is winless in conference play this season. On Saturday, the Lady Ravens will conclude the three-game home stand with a 6 p.m. contest against Johnson County. The Lady Ravens squeaked by Johnson County in early January on a last second desperation three-pointer by Marquita Thompson. |
