Allen County upsets Coffeyville 67-65

The first time Coffeyville and Allen County played this season, the Ravens waltzed to an easy 76-39 win over the Red Devils.  On Saturday, though, 25% shooting from the field and sloppy play led to an untimely 67-65 loss for the Ravens to Allen County.  Coupled with Labette's win over Neosho County on Saturday, the Ravens, 12-2 in conference play, fall to second place in the KJCCC, one game behind Labette.

Ashley Coleman had 18 points to pace the Red Raven attack.  Shyvon Spears added 13 and Sade Bowen scored 12.  Azzie Knox had a team-high 10 rebounds.  Allen County, which shot just 38% from the field for the game and committed 32 turnovers, were led by former Raven Debbie Burris with 19 points.  Latoya Sexton, another former Raven, had 13 points and Sarah Polson scored 11.

The Ravens, 18-8 overall, head to Johnson County on Monday for a 6 p.m. game against the Cavaliers.  The game can be heard locally on KGGF-690 AM.
