Women's basketball wins first of season over Pratt at Barton Classic

The women's basketball team improved from shooting 25% in the season-opener to shooting 45% against Pratt on Friday night.  Oh, what a difference shooting will make in a team's fortune.  The better shooting allowed the Ravens to improve to 1-1 with an 85-65 victory over the Beavers.

Shyvon Spears led four Ravens in double-figures with 18 points.  Azzie Knox scored 16, Ashley Coleman had 13 and Megan Klinger scored 10.  Sade Bowen pulled down 10 rebounds and the Ravens held a commanding 59-35 rebounding advantage over the Beavers.  The Ravens shot 32-of-71 from the field and made 17-of-20 free throws and held Pratt to 25-of-74 shooting from the field.  Pratt also struggled from the charity stripe, making only 6-of-13 free throws.
