Ravens get share of conference championship with win at Cowley

The Red Ravens got a share of the KJCCC East Conference Championship with Saturday night's 69-55 win at Cowley.  The Ravens, 22-8 overall, finish the conference campaign 16-2, tied for first with Labette.  The Ravens, though, will be a second seed in the up-coming Region 6 playoffs.

Sade Bowen had 16 points to pace the Ravens offense against Cowley.  Shyvon Spears added 12 points, and Azzie Knox was knocking on the door of a double-double, finishing the contest with eight points and nine rebounds.  The Ravens out-rebounded the Tigers by a 50 to 35 margin.  The Ravens also shot 46% from the field and held Cowley to just 35% field goal shooting, including 1-of-17 from three-point range.  Chrysta Glenn had 19 points to pace the Tigers and Ashley Burnett added 12.

The Ravens will host a Region 6 first round playoff game on March 8.  Tip off is at 6 p.m. and the opponent will be Hutchinson.  [Official Women's Region 6 Playoff Brackets]
