Ravens drop first conference game to Labette

The Ravens led 39-32 at the half, but hot-shooting by the Cardinals propelled Labette to an 81-72 win over Coffeyville on Saturday night in a KJCCC conference game in Parsons.  The loss drops the Ravens to 7-1 in KJCCC play and to 13-7 overall.

Sade Bowen had a double-double for the Ravens with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Shyvon Spears scored 17 points to pace the offense.  Brittany Rochelle added 16 points and Azzie Knox scored 11.  The Ravens shot 47% from the field for the game and held Labette to just 34% shooting, but 30 turnovers helped lead to Coffeyville's demise.  Wintonia Hart scored 29 points to lead Labette and Daiane Domingos added 16.

Coffeyville looks to rebound on Feb. 1 when they will host Cowley at 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall.  The Ravens remain at home on Feb. 4 when they will host Fort Scott at 5 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
