Ravens hammer Cowley Tigers 83-45

After losing twice last season to the Cowley Tigers, the Ravens were certainly seeking to avenge those losses.  The Ravens did so with an exclamation mark.  The Ravens led 39-24 at the half and ran away from the Tigers in the second half, settling for an 83-45 win.

Megan Klinger had a double-double for the Ravens with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Azzie Knox just missed a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.  Also in double-figures for Coffeyville in a balanced scoring attack included Sade Bowen with 14 points, Ashley Coleman with 12 points, and Shyvon Spears with 11.  The Ravens shot 47% from the field for the game and held Cowley to just 23% shooting from the field.  Tehani Goldsmith was the lone Tiger in double-figures with 11 points.

With the win, the Ravens improve to 8-1 in conference play and to 14-7 overall.  The Ravens return to action on Saturday night as they will host Fort Scott at 5 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
