Women's basketball defeats Colby in Jayhawk Shoot-Out

The women's basketball team improved improved to 6-4 with a 72-67 win over Colby Friday night in the Jayhawk Shoot-Out hosted by Coffeyville Community College.  Ashley Coleman scored 13 points in a balanced scoring attack for the Red Ravens.  Azzie Knox scored 12, Brittany Rochelle and Keindra Scott scored 11 each, and Tasha Parker just missed double-figures with ninth points.  Suzana Sormaz scored 23 points to lead Colby and Rita Kollo added 20.  The Ravens are back in action on Saturday night when they will host Seward at 5 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
