Ravens get past Kansas City 57-50It wasn't pretty, but the Ravens got an important victory over Kansas City Saturday night. The Ravens 57-50 over KC improves the Ravens conference mark to 14-2, just one game behind Labette. The Ravens will host Labette on Wednesday night, March 1, in a game that could very well determine the conference champion. Tip off for Wednesday's game is 6 p.m. in Nellis Hall. Against Kansas City, Shyvon Spears scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds, just missing a double-double. Azzie Knox added 14 points and Megan Klingler scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds. Ashley Sanders and LaShira Allison scored 11 points each for Kansas City. The win improves the Ravens to 20-8 overall, the ninth straight season the CCC women's basketball program has won at least 20 games. Following the Labette game, the Ravens will end the regular season on March 4 with a 6 p.m. game at Cowley College in Arkansas City. The Ravens will host a Region 6 first round playoff game on March 8, opponent to be announced. Tip off for the women's playoff game will be at 6 p.m. |
