Ravens defeat #2 Moberly; Eastern Oklahoma holds off Ft. Scott
in Friday action of Regal Inn Coffeyville Classic

The Red Ravens shot just 17% from the field in the first half and trailed 21-16 at the break, but the Ravens found enough offense in the second half to pull away for a 61-48 victory over the #2 Moberly Greyhounds.  Felicia Herring scored 13 points, including three three-pointers, to pace the Ravens offense.  Shyvon Spears added a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and Azzie Knox contributed 10 points for the 3-2 Ravens.

Moberly struggled mightily against the Ravens defense.  The Greyhounds shot just 30% from the field for the game and had 29 turnovers.  Nikya Hughes had 13 points to lead Moberly and Amber Lewellan added 10.

Eastern Oklahoma 76, Fort Scott 72

Eastern Oklahoma led 43-33 at halftime and held off a late second half rally from Fort Scott to post a 76-72 victory.  Adrienne Barnhill had 20 points to lead Eastern Oklahoma and Tejana added 15 points and Yesi Castillo had 13.  Keisha Walker scored 20 points for Fort Scott and Amber Obert had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
