Ravens fall to Eastern Oklahoma, #2 Moberly rebounds to defeat Ft. Scott

Mama said there'd be days like this.  A night after defeating the pre-season ranked #2 team in the nation, the Raven women's basketball team turned a 180 and were defeated 80-58 by Eastern Oklahoma in Saturday night action at the Regal Inn Coffeyville Classic.  Yesi Castillo had a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds and Ashley Jackson added 21 for Eastern Oklahoma, who led by just a 35-33 margin at halftime.  Also in double-figures for the Mountaineers were Adrienne Barnill with 14 points and Katie Birch with 12.

The Ravens got 12 points and six assists from Felicia Herring and 10 points from Keindra Scott.  The Ravens turned the ball over 26 points, but also forced 24 Eastern Oklahoma turnovers. The Ravens shot 40% from the field and Eastern Oklahoma shot 46% from the field, but were 10-of-22 from the land of three.  The Ravens fall to 3-3 on the season and play in Great Bend at the Barton County Classic on November 25-26.  The Ravens return home on November 29 for a 7 p.m. tip off against Butler.

Moberly 71, Fort Scott 50

The Moberly Greyhounds took a commanding 29-18 lead into halftime and never looked back in defeating the Fort Scott Greyhounds 71-50.  Nikya Hughes scored 20 points and had 16 rebounds and Mesha Williams and Ashley Lovelady scored 14 points each for Moberly who shot 50% from the field for the game.  Williams also hauled in 15 rebounds in the game. 

Fort Scott was held to 29% shooting from the field and were led by Keisha Walker's 22 points.  Jenise Brown had 14 rebounds for Fort Scott on the night.
