Women's basketball wins season opener over Southwestern Illinois

The inside sophomore duo of Sade Bowen and Shyvon Spears was too much for Southwestern Illinois to handle on Nov. 3 as Coffeyville defeated Southwestern Illinois 71-60 in the Ravens season opener in the Moberly Classic being held by Moberly College in Moberly, Missouri.  Bowen scored 17 points to lead the Ravens and Spears added 16.  Freshman Lacie Ward also hit double-figures with 10 points and Brittany Rochelle added seven.  A complete box score for the Ravens will be available early next week.  The Ravens will play again on Nov. 4.  The Ravens will face the host Moberly College at 3 p.m.
