#19 Ravens take bite out of Scotties, 104-44The #19 Red Raven women's basketball team extended their winning to 13 games after ripping Highland 104-44 Saturday night at Nellis Hall in Coffeyville. The Ravens improve to 9-0 in KJCCC East play and to 19-2 overall. Sade Bowen had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Ravens. Bowen was 11-of-12 shooting from the field. Brittany Rochelle scored 15, and Syeeda Echols and Lacie Ward scored 11 points each. Nine Ravens scored six or more points on the game. The Ravens also held a commanding rebound advantage, grabbing 46 boards to the Scotties 35. Coffeyville also amassed 25 assists on the night and the Ravens' defense forced 38 Scotties turnovers. The Ravens will the hit the road for two games in the up-coming week. On January 31, the Ravens will travel 15 minutes to face the Pirates of Independence. Tip off is at 6 p.m. at the ICC Fieldhouse. The Ravens then play Johnson County at Overland Park on February 3. Tip off is at 2 p.m. The Ravens return home to host Allen County on February 7 for a 6 p.m. tip off in Nellis Hall. |
