#22 Ravens blitz Cardinals 67-44The Red Ravens rolled to a 39-17 halftime lead and never looked back in defeating the Labette Cardinals 67-44 on Jan. 10 in Nellis Hall. The Ravens, who shared the KJCCC East Conference Championship with Labette last season, improved to 4-0 in KJCCC play and to 14-2 overall on the season. Against Labette, Lacie Ward scored 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc. Megan Klingler added 12 points and six rebounds for the Ravens and Shyvon Spears and Syeeda Echols scored 10 points each. Asaish Lowe had a game-high 12 rebounds and Spears added nine. Overall, the Ravens held a commanding 55 to 40 advantage on the boards. Brittany Rochelle dished out seven assists on the night. Brittany Brown scored 17 points for Labette and Monah Pegorari had 10 points and nine rebounds. The Ravens will hit the road for two games with trips to Kansas City on Jan. 13 and to Neosho County on Jan. 17. The Ravens return home on Jan. 20 when they host Fort Scott at 5:30 p.m. in Nellis Hall. |
