Ravens fall to NEO 79-74 in home openerShyvon Spears had a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Ravens, but it wasn't enough to overcome 36% shooting from the field in Tuesday night's 79-74 loss to NEO at Nellis Hall. Sade Bowen added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Ravens, and Brittany Rochelle had a game-high 10 assists and four steals. Whitney Conerly had 22 points to lead NEO. Brittani Allen scored 20 and Bruna Duarte added 17 points to help pace the NEO attack. NEO led 48-42 at halftime and the Norsemen withstood several Coffeyville runs in the second half to hold on for the win. The Ravens are now 2-1 on the season after beginning the year with two wins at the Moberly Classic. The Ravens are back in action on Nov. 11 when they travel to play Arkansas-Ft. Smith at 5 p.m. The Ravens return home for a 7 p.m. tip off on Nov. 14. The Ravens will host Crowder College in Nellis Hall. |
