#20 Ravens double-up Panthers, 98-49

The #20 ranked Red Ravens had no problem with the Neosho County Panthers on Saturday night, winning 98-49 in Nellis Hall in Coffeyville.  The win improves the Ravens to 14-1 in KJCCC East play and to 24-3 overall on the season.  The Ravens maintain a one game in KJCCC East play over Cowley.

Against Neosho County, Syeeda Echols led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points.  Brittany Rochelle, Shyvon Spears, and Asaiah Lowe scored 12 points each.  Sade Bowen added 11 points and Tasha Parker had 10.  Rochelle also dished out seven assists on the game.  The Ravens dominated every facet of the game.  Coffeyville out-rebounded Neosho County by a 52-34 margin.  The Ravens shot 53% from the field while holding the Panthers to just 28% shooting.  The Ravens also dished out 29 assists while committing just 14 turnovers on the night.

The Ravens have two tough road games in the week ahead.  On Wednesday night, the Ravens face Fort Scott, the third place team in the KJCCC East, for a 5 p.m. tip off in Fort Scott.  On Saturday night, the Ravens will travel to Arkansas City to play the Cowley Tigers at 5 p.m.  Cowley is in second place in the KJCCC East with a 13-2 conference record.  A Raven win against Cowley would nearly assure the Ravens a second out-right conference championship in the Emily Washburn era.  The Ravens return home for the regular season finale on March 3 when they will host Independence at 5:30 p.m. in Nellis Hall.
