Sophomore Sade Lewis signed with Delaware State on Wednesday during a signing ceremony held in the CCC Student Union. Lewis has had a stellar career at CCC.

University of Kansas senior Paris Daniels was instrumental on the final day of the Jayhawks’ first Big 12 Outdoor title in program history, winning an individual event, finishing runner-up in another and running two winning relay legs en route to a Big-12-best 23-point contribution of the Jayhawks’ 83 Day Two points.

Coffeyville Community College sophomore track hurdler and relay runner Shamela Gray signed with Lindenwood University on Wednesday during a signing ceremony in the college's Student Union.

The women's team didn't have any new national qualifiers at the Southwestern meet, but they did have one athlete who has already qualified exceed national standards. Shamela Gray was fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.02. This year's national standard is 1:07.77.

The women's 4 x 100-meter relay team of Kim Mitchell, Jerika Budgett, Thronda Craig and Sade Lewis were seventh with a time of 47.73 seconds at the KU Relays this past weekend in Lawrence, Kansas.

The Coffeyville Red Ravens kicked off the 2013 outdoor season with a meet on Thursday hosted by Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan. Team scores were not compiled, but the Ravens had several athletes meet NJCAA national qualifying standards and will be able to compete at the national meet coming up in May.
