Information Systems Technology
Coffeyville Community College Technical Division’s Information Systems Technology program is an exciting new offering.
Instruction will cover setup, configuration and troubleshooting of microcomputers as workstations or servers. Students will create Windows and Linux networks, including setting up file servers and networking client computers.
Students will receive hands-on experience in learning Microsoft, Linux, and Cisco networking standards, wide area networking (WAN) and local area networking (LAN). Students will be given instruction in the skills necessary for dealing with customers and customer networking problems in a business situation.
This course contains an overview of networking components and features, and includes information on network security, firewall technologies, and network management. This program provides training leading to the following certifications:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Linux+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
