Nursing Instructor (Full-Time)

Clinical Nursing Instructor (Part-Time)

Speech Instructor

Full-Time/9 month contract.

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Speech Instructor is responsible to teach courses as assigned by the Vice President for Learning and fulfill all duties as indicated in the Memorandum of Agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

•    Teach courses as assigned by the Vice President for Learning
•    Develop new courses and program initiatives as assigned
•    Advise and enroll students according to established procedures
•    Maintain instructional budget within established policies and budget parameters

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

•    Proven teaching ability
•    Excellent communication skills both oral and written
•    An understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college
•    Ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

A minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college.  Experience in the development and implementation of new courses.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is required.  

MISCELLANEOUS

This is a full-time 9-month contract.  Anticipated start date of August, 2012.

Livestock Judging Team Coach

The Livestock Judging Coach is responsible for the entire management and administration of all phases of a varsity intercollegiate livestock judging program and team within the guidelines, rules and regulations of Coffeyville Community College and the National Livestock Judging Association.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

•    Schedule and conduct regular practice sessions
•    Administrative planning responsibilities such as: budget administration, team travel, contest schedules, equipment inventory, practice and arena facilities, ordering of supplies and equipment,  speaking engagements, youth clinics and home contest administration.
•    Scout and recruit quality students.  Develop working relationships with faculty and college staff to assist in the recruiting and retention process.
•    Coordination of scholarship and financial aid paperwork.
•    Establish and enforce rules and regulations regarding student conduct, appearance, behavior and class attendance.
•    Demonstrate an active interest in academic progress of students.
•    Public relations with media, civic groups and Booster Clubs.
•    Participate in college recruiting activities and community activities.
•    Teach 6 credit hours per year.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

•    Thorough knowledge of livestock judging.
•    Ability to effectively work with various publics and diverse populations
•    Administrative ability to manage details of budget, scheduling, and recruiting
•    Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
•    An understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college.
•    Ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

A minimum of three years coaching/participation experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.  Teaching experience preferred.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A Bachelor Degree is required.  

MISCELLANEOUS

This is a full-time 12-month contract.

Assistant Football Coach

Assistant Cheer and Dance Coach

The Assistant Cheer and Dance Coach reports to the head cheer coach and head dance coach.  This position will be responsible for recruiting student athletes from the State of Kansas as well as assisting in the management of these two activity programs.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Assist with scheduling and conducting regular practice sessions
  • Assist with performances at games, pep rallies, and public engagements
  • Assist with study hall, admissions, student conduct, appearance, student behavior and class attendance
  • Administrative planning responsibilities such as; team travel, performance schedules, equipment inventory, speaking engagements, youth clinics, pre-game and half-time activities
  • Recruiting students
  • Transportation of students and equipment
  • Public relations with media, civic groups and Booster Clubs

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Thorough knowledge of cheer, dance and mascot activities
  • Ability to effectively work with various publics and diverse populations
  • Administrative ability to manage details of budget, scheduling, and recruiting

  • An understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college.
  • Ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students.
  • Valid Driver’s License

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

CDL Drivers
