Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing will provide the leadership and vision for strategic and tactical planning in the areas of marketing and public relations for the college. The Director shall be responsible for placement of all advertising, writing press releases, assuming the role of liaison between college and the media, and the coordination of all college promotional printing in order to assure an integrated approach for enhancing the College image.

At least three years experience in education, business, marketing, communications, or public relations; demonstrated ability in organizational skills; strong background in publishing, writing, editing, media relations and advertising; and experience in budget development and administration.

Masters Degree is preferred.

Welding Instructor

Technical instructional staff/faculty of Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the Vice President for Innovation & Business Initiatives for instructional and personnel matters and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The Welding Instructor is responsible for the safety, security, and operation of the Welding Center.

Qualifications include proven teaching ability to communicate and demonstrate all welding procedures to all age groups and education levels; ability to pass the following welding tests:  Stick and Tig 6G uphill, GMAW and FCAW 1G rollout downhill; ability to obtain AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification within 2 years of accepting employment with the College and excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Required experience includes a minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college or technical school, or a minimum of five years of pipe welding experience in industry, and experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and workshops.

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  An industry-recognized certification and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Financial Aid Advisor

The Financial Aid Advisor will be responsible for advising students, parents and the public. Under general direction maintain the financial aid database and hard copy records of financial aid while assisting with the operation of the Financial Aid Office. Receive limited supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures. Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with the selection and delivery of student financial assistance.

At least two years experience with computers and at least two years with similar office experience.

An Associate Degree is required but a Bachelors degree is preferred.

Records Clerk (Part-Time)

The Records Clerk is a part-time position and will be responsible to the Registrar for general clerical duties associated with the efficient operation of the office.

Choral Music Instructor

The Choral Music Instructor reports to the Vice President for Academic Services for developing and designing an effective choral music department with demonstrated excellence in teaching and conducting choral music at the college level, experience in arranging music for choral ensembles, knowledge of vocal pedagogy and recruiting experience to support the teaching and learning needs of the College.

A minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college; experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs and workshops and/or teaching experience; experience in directing various ensembles; experience working with students on an individual basis; and experience with student recruitment activities.

A Master’s Degree in Music Education preferred or at a minimum eighteen graduate hours in Music.

Lead Dorm Housekeeper

The Lead Dorm Housekeeper shall be responsible to the Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping for custodial services in the student residence halls.

Requirements include supervisory skills, good oral and written communication skills and must present a professional demeanor and appearance, and represent the college with a positive image.

Three years of related experience in custodial related activities and two years of supervisory experience.

High school diploma or its equivalent, or comparable knowledge, skill, and mental
development. Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Nursing Instructor (Full-Time)

Instructional staff/faculty of the Nursing Program at Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the Nursing Program Director for instructional and personnel matters, and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The Nursing Program Instructor is responsible for the instruction of PN and RN core curriculum as assigned, and to ensure student success on state licensure.

Position requires proven teaching ability, excellent communication skills both oral and written, an understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college, ability to stimulate motivation, confidence and enthusiasm in students, ability to initiate and participate in grant activities relating to the individual program area, and interest in student activities that occur outside the classroom and a willingness to participate in and attend college functions.

Requires a minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college, a minimum of two years field experience as an RN with a healthcare facility, and experience in the developmental and implementation of new courses, programs and/or continuing education workshops.

For PN classroom nursing instruction: a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

For the RN classroom nursing instruction:  a minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  
 
The Nursing Instructor must maintain a current Kansas RN license.

Clinical Nursing Instructor (Part-Time)

Requires a proven clinical teaching ability, excellent communication skills both oral and written, an understanding of the mission and role of the comprehensive community college, ability to stimulate motivation, confidence and enthusiasm in students.

A minimum of two years clinical experience as an RN in a variety of healthcare settings is preferred and experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and/or continuing education workshops.

For PN classroom nursing instruction: a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Assistant Cheer and Dance Coach

The Assistant Cheer and Dance Coach reports to the Head Cheer and Dance Coach. This individual will be responsible for recruiting student athletes from the state of Kansas as well as assisting in the management of this activity program.

Requires an ability to effectively work with various public and diverse populations. Human relation skills of ordinary courtesy, understanding and ability to stimulate motivation, confidence and enthusiasm in students; willingness to enforce institutional policies and procedures; ability to coordinate with campus personnel to resolve problem conflicts; a fundamental knowledge of cheerleading, gymnastic and dance techniques; valid driver’s license.

At least three years coaching/participation experience, and a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

EMT-P Instructor

Instructional staff/faculty of Coffeyville Community College are responsible to the respective Vice President for instructional and personnel matters and to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement.  The EMT-P instructor is responsible for the instruction of the EMT and EMT-P Program curriculum as assigned.

A minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a community college. A minimum of two years field experience as an EMT-Paramedic with an ambulance service or hospital. Experience in the development and implementation of new courses, programs, and/or continuing education workshops.

A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in the field is required from a regionally accredited institution of higher education recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.  A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred.  Current EMT-P certification, CPR certification, Instructor/Coordinator (I/C) certification, and ACLS certification is required.

CDL Drivers
